FEATURED
The purpose of a weight vest was never to make it harder to breathe. We cut a hole in our plates to take the weight off your diaphragm and give you some breathing room. This means better breathing during tough workouts and better recovery between sets. Then we added the swimmer’s cut and lowered neckline with movement in mind for the best weight vest for the most dynamic exercises. We finished the plates off with a powder coating to combat rust and stand the test of time.
The plates are compatible with our Rucking Weight Vest ONLY. They’re sold in pairs for total weights (with the vest) of 14, 20, and 30lbs.
Curved Ruck Plates may ship separately from the rest of our gear. Curved Ruck Plates can only be shipped in the United States (all 50 states). Orders containing Curved Ruck Plates cannot be expedited.

Waxed Duck Canvas with Red Wing Leather
August 2026 Updates: MOLLE webbing on the shoulder straps and a brand new full-grain leather stars and stripes Spearhead patch.
GR1, the best rucksack ever built, meets time proven heavy canvas and construction.
Heritage means it’s proven by our grandfathers, and our grandfather’s grandfathers. And that it will last the test of time for those generations who come after us. For materials, we chose the strongest possible duck canvas with a waxing process proven over the last 170 years, giving the Heritage a retro canvas rucksack look with the durability you'd expect from a GR1.
WHY SECONDS SALE
On Seconds Sale from $525 to $295.
Woodland Camo M81—this was my first uniform in the Army. I love this pattern. We decided to do a Heritage version of it, but what we have here is a batch of "Seconds."
We don't have very many of them, but here's what happened: when you dye the Heritage fabric, it starts out as greige—which is essentially a raw, white fabric. The fabric is supposed to be dyed all the way through so that both sides match.
With this specific batch, that didn't happen. The interior fabric didn't dye all the way through, meaning it stayed white on the inside. Because of that, this batch classifies as a Seconds. Everything else on the pack is completely awesome—you still get the full-grain leather handles and all the premium features you'd expect from a Heritage pack.
If you look really closely at certain spots where the pack is sewn together, you can see a little bit of that white underside peeking through. Now, there are definitely ways to treat that if it bothers you so that it isn't white. One of the best ways to do that is just sweat, travel, and the natural dirt from all of your adventures.
Since these are Seconds, we're offering the few we have at a nice markdown. If you want a killer M81 pack and don't mind the white interior, grab one while they last.
ANYTHING-PROOF RUCK
Quality is life or death to us, and when we build our gear, we only choose tested and proven Specs + Materials that can withstand any environment. That’s why we’ve taken our original GR1 rucksack and built it with X-PAC® and AquaGuard zippers.
Crafted from a fabric initially designed for high-performance racing sails. X-PAC is lightweight, ultra-durable, and waterproof—key features needed to withstand the intense forces of the open ocean. This is what we take to Costa Rica - the most bio-intense space, according to National Geographic.
This bag is ready for anything—from the rain-soaked trails of Costa Rica to city streets, giving you the confidence to carry your gear in all conditions.
BUILT TO ENDURE AND LAST FOREVER
The Rucking Shirt is the first piece of apparel we built from the ground up, in the USA, and have been building since 2016. The legacy of performance here — is strong.
Built for rucking and training, and classy so you can wear it all day, anywhere. That's the kind of versatility we believe in.
EnduraKnit fabric is an indestructible and lightweight performance fabric. It stretches with you, moves with you, and holds its shape over time. It's comfortable against the skin and breathable enough for movement, and durable enough to withstand long-term wear under load without breaking down or pilling. VERSATILE.
Built in the USA to last forever.
Fleece-Lined Polartec ® Half Zip Jacket
Two of the toughest performance fabrics meet to make the Indestructible Performance Half Zip. The jacket combines the lightweight, hi-tech warmth of the Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric and the abrasion resistance of our ToughDry® Fabric.
The patented grid construction knit of the Grid Fleece strengthens performance efficiency by increasing warmth and breathability, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, sweat-wicking, and add technical style. By reinventing thermal warmth possibilities, Power Grid™ is a minimalist design that maximizes fabric performance.
The elbows and shoulders of the indestructible jacket are reinforced with our ToughDry® fabric that is built with Nylon for added abrasion resistance during low crawls and underneath your ruck. This is the same fabric proven year after year in both Challenge Pants and Challenge Windbreakers at GORUCK Selection. It's tough as nails, lightweight, wicks moisture, and performs flawlessly no matter the environment.
Cold engines need to warm up before you slam on the gas. Do that.
The fabric is indestructible against any rucksack and fully abrasion resistant, like you. A hidden map pocket (that breathes) in the interior is a nice bonus — if your hands are cold, put your gloves in there. Commando shouldering keeps the structure of the piece fully intact for a lifetime of abuse.
WARM. UP. IN. STYLE. and then keep burning that gasoline full throttle.
Built in Spokane, Washington, USA.
5th Special Forces Group - The Legion
Thirty-nine days after 9/11, teams from the 5th Special Forces Group deployed to the mountainous region of Afghanistan, along the Hindu Kush. The weather was atrocious — sandstorms, black clouds of hail, snow and ice — changing with each mile they traveled, and elevation to elevation. Yet they persevered together, carrying the hopes of the American people, and were victorious.
“Strength and Honor” is the mantra of the 5th Special Forces Group. We honor their legacy.
Our new Task Force Dagger Polartec fleece jacket pays homage to the jackets that were worn by those Special Forces units 20 years ago, and even uses the same Polartec 300 weight fleece. In 1981, Polartec® changed the game for cold weather performance apparel with the invention of polar synthetic fleece. With greater resiliency, lightweight warmth and fast dry times, it remains the industry standard for performance outerwear and breathable fleece jackets.
PACK LESS, DO MORE
Our 89% Merino wool blend is antimicrobial, quick drying, and insulating, and 11% Nylon blend helps the Merino wool retain its shape and be more abrasion resistant. The natural antimicrobial property of Merino wool keeps odors at bay, so there's no need to bring extra layers when you're on the road for extended periods. When the weather isn't your friend, it'll dry fast and keep you warm. And when it gets really cold, our wool is light enough to layer underneath a jacket (where the anti-odor quality thrives).
VEST OF POWER
It will keep you f***ing warm.
We built the Vest of Power from the ground up. The first reason we did this is that vests are a near perfect layer — more than a t-shirt but less than a big jacket, and with all the zippered pockets, they’re perfect for traveling. The second reason is that at some point power vests became a statement of environmental bona fides and politics. As for environmentalism — USA built stuff that never fails and won’t end up in a landfill is about as environmentally conscious as it gets.
As for politics, in our Vest of Power you’ll find the American Flag — red, white, and blue — there’s our politics for you.
The GORUCK brand stands for Building Better Americans, the Special Forces way of life, and a life or death approach to building the world’s toughest gear.
WHEN FOUR SEASONS IN A DAY IS THE NORM
The Rucking Shirt is the first piece of apparel we built from the ground up, in the USA, and have been building since 2016. I wore this merino version with commando shouldering all over Normandy for the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. Four seasons every day is the norm. This shirt was my daily go-to for the week — sometimes with a t-shirt underneath, sometimes not. When the rains came, I put a shell on and kept driving on. I kept warm enough but didn’t overheat, and it’s a damn classy look when you set all your stuff down at the local pub and grab a bit and a pression. Damn classy.
Proudly built in the USA and ready to travel anywhere, it comes with our Scars Lifetime Guarantee.
Also, if you have the opportunity, take your family to Normandy to see those sacred grounds, and bring your kids if you got ‘em. You’ll never regret it for the rest of your life.

A HALF ZIP THAT PASSES THE COMMANDO TEST
In WWI, wool was so important to British soldiers on the front lines that knitting wool sweaters was seen as a patriotic duty. By WWII, wool’s reputation was further solidified. However, SAS members spent extended periods in the field, laden with rucksacks and additional equipment, constantly on the move.
After witnessing repeated failures with their traditional wool sweaters, the SAS sought a lighter alternative, reinforcing the shoulders for durability. This became the iconic British Commando Sweater, and the inspiration for what we call the “commando test” — to pass muster, Merino wool must be reinforced in high stress areas. If it’s not, it simply fails too fast like the traditional wool garments that the SAS rejected.
We build ALL GORUCK Merino Wool tops with reinforced paneling on the shoulders so your Merino shirt keeps its structure better over the long haul – representing the standard for performance in the Merino wool category and passing the Commando Test. This ensures that your Merino shirt maintains its shape over time, while still providing all the advantages of Merino, such as odor resistance and perfect temperature regulation, regardless of the adventure or mission at hand.
TOUGHMESH™ FABRIC — THE ITALIAN JOB
A featherweight training jacket that excels during a long ruck and your toughest workouts, dries lightning fast to keep you moving. We built these to our exacting standards using proprietary, made-in-Italy ToughMesh™ fabric.
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” - da Vinci
ToughMesh™ is our world-class, featherweight fabric milled at the foothills of the Italian Alps, not far from where da Vinci painted The Last Supper. It took us five years to develop, test and prove a fabric that could thrive in our way of life — no cost, time, or rigor was spared to create a line of apparel that’s tough enough to endure the demands of rucking and training and will dry long before you could drink your first beer, which will be well earned.
We’re proud of the outcome and hope you wear it hard.
