PRE-ORDER ENDS OCTOBER 23rd
"IF YOU WANT THE RAINBOW, YOU GOTTA PUT UP WITH THE RAIN."
Dolly Parton, a country music songwriting legend, businesswoman, and philanthropist who united fans across the generational and political spectrum, left a legacy that transcends music. She represented a powerful force of good that touched the lives of millions.
To honor her passing and her unwavering commitment to kindness, creativity, literacy, and community service, our friends at MetFix created The 925 Project. Dolly consistently exemplified the true spirit of community support. Her greatest philanthropic achievement, the Imagination Library, has mailed hundreds of millions of free, high-quality books to children worldwide, fostering a passion for reading and education from birth to age five regardless of a family's income.
How It Works
Badass Babes (and anyone who wants to support), you complete The 9/25 Project tribute workout wherever you live, preferably with your local GORUCK Club, family, and friends. You choose the weight and if you want the miles to be cumulative or consecutive.
Net proceeds of Badass Babes Anti-Virtual patch sales will go directly to our partners at Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, honoring her final request to ensure her work of getting books into the hands of children continues for generations to come.
On October 28, 1886, the Statue of Liberty was officially dedicated in New York Harbor. A gift from the people of France, Lady Liberty has stood for 140 years with her torch held high…a symbol of freedom, hope, and the promise of America to generations arriving on our shores.
This October, we’re celebrating that anniversary the GORUCK way: by picking up something heavy and holding it over our heads. Welcome to Liberty’s Torch, a four-round burnout WOD designed to set your shoulders ablaze. The numbers 10 and 28 commemorate Liberty’s October 28 dedication, while every round ends with a 100-meter overhead carry.
Your shoulders may beg you to lower the torch. Lady Liberty hasn’t put hers down since 1886. Neither should you.
The Challenge
On September 26, unite with fellow ruckers around the world by putting on a rucksack, taking to the streets or trails, and being a part of Ruck The World Day. The distance and weight carried is up to you (and whoever you've talked into joining you).
The Origin Story
Ruck The World Day is a global celebration of rucking — moving with weight on your back — as a way to bring people together, build resilience, and strengthen communities. Started by GORUCK, The Rucking Company, this day honors the origins of the civilian rucking movement and its transformative power for individuals everywhere.
The date, September 26, commemorates a pivotal moment in rucking history: the very first official GORUCK Challenge, held in San Francisco in 2010. Designed to test GORUCK gear under the harshest conditions, the Challenge drew inspiration from U.S. Special Forces training. Participants endured hours of physical and mental trials, relying on teamwork, grit, and perseverance to succeed.
That day marked more than just a test of endurance. It signaled the historic shift of rucking from an exclusive military training method to an inclusive, civilian-led movement. Today, ruckers from every walk of life carry this tradition forward, finding in it purpose, camaraderie, and strength.
On September 26, GORUCK Clubs and communities across the globe will ruck in solidarity, carrying not only weight on their backs, but also the shared belief that we are stronger together. One day each year when the world moves as one. One World. One Patch. One Ruck.
Why Cappy the Rucker?
Every movement needs a mascot and ours showed up already rucking. Calm, social, and unfazed, Cappy the Rucker is a capybara who carries too much weight and doesn’t care. He’s unexpectedly lovable, weirdly badass, and the perfect symbol of what Ruck The World Day is all about: resilience, community, and a little humor along the way. Just like the first GORUCK Challenge transformed rucking into something anyone could embrace, Cappy transforms toughness into something welcoming. He’s here to remind us that rucking is about carrying weight together, sometimes heavy, sometimes light, but always moving forward.
As we continue celebrating America's 250th birthday, this month's Callout honors the document that transformed a fledgling nation into a constitutional republic: the United States Constitution. More than just a blueprint for government, the Constitution established a system designed to preserve liberty by limiting power, separating authority, and ensuring that no one person or institution stands above the law. We're honoring the The United States Constitution this month because it was signed on September 17, 1787 at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
The first ten amendments—the Bill of Rights—are the keystone of those freedoms, protecting the liberties we often take for granted: speech, religion, the press, peaceful assembly, due process, and the right to keep and bear arms, among others.
Welcome to the Constitution Ruck. During this month's Callout, you'll stop at every mile to recite one amendment and complete 10 pushups; a reminder that freedom isn't just inherited, it must be understood and defended by each generation.
This August, we’re celebrating the 19th Amendment, ratified on August 18, 1920. It wasn't just a political victory; it was the culmination of decades of perseverance, grit, and community building. This month, we’re taking that "Rosie the Riveter" spirit to the streets for a civic scavenger hunt.

On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, severing the 13 American colonies from Great Britain. Drafted primarily by Thomas Jefferson, it outlined reasons for separation, provided a list of grievances, and established America’s foundational principles of natural rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
In honor of that watershed moment, we will ruck 17.76 miles. And we encourage you to wear red, white, and blue and carry Old Glory at the front of your formation!

Welcome to the Buddy Carry Ruck. Just a normal day out rucking with your friends…until the last mile. For the ENTIRE LAST MILE, 20% of your group has to be up in a buddy carry. If they aren’t in the air, then they aren’t moving. You can do this however you want: Fireman’s carry, 2 person carry, 3 person carry, you could do 8 people if you want. It’s totally up to you, bonus points for being creative. The casualty can rotate, so it does not have to be the same person the whole time. Also, no using your kids as the casualty, that’s cheating. One important note, NO RUCKS on the casualties.
Details:
- Minimum 4 person teams but the more the merrier
- 20% of participants up for the last mile of the ruck, math rounds up. So if you have six people, then two people must go up for the last mile.
- 4 mile minimum but go as far as you want
- Minimum ruck weight: 10 lbs
- Share on social media and use #RUCKCLUBCALLOUT and tag @goruck

Flowers come and go. This patch sticks around.
The “Mom” tattoo didn’t come from a design studio, it came from the front lines. During World War II, American soldiers inked it on their arms before shipping out, a permanent reminder of home and the person who grounded them. It stood for love, loyalty, and the kind of strength you don’t question, you carry with you.
This patch carries that forward.
The Mother’s Day 5K Ruck isn’t about going fast. It’s about showing up. For the moms pushing strollers, carrying weight, wrangling chaos, and still leading from the front: this is for you. It’s a nod to the quiet toughness and relentless consistency that doesn’t always get a finish line but deserves one anyway.
Earn it the same way moms do everything else: one step at a time.

Buffalo Soldiers were U.S. Army regiments composed exclusively of black American soldiers, formed during the 19th century to serve on the American frontier after the Civil War. The Buffalo Soldiers played crucial roles in westward expansion, the Indian Wars, and early National Parks, all while overcoming intense racism and segregation, thereby proving black military capability and paving the way for greater integration.
Many of these soldiers also served in California's Sierra Nevada as some of our nation's first park rangers. For this month’s Ruck Club Callout, we’ll perform a service project honoring their service protecting Yosemite and Sequoia before the Park Service even existed.
The Details:
- Begin with a brief story about the Buffalo Soldiers’ early role as park rangers
- Perform a trail cleanup ruck or adopt a section of a local road for cleanup
- Include a moment of silence or reflection in a scenic area
- End with a statement of stewardship, e.g., “We protect what they protected.”
- Minimum distance: your call
- Weight: rucker's choice
- Share on social media using #RUCKCLUBCALLOUT and tag @goruck
“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” ― Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
February's Ruck Club Callout is the Heart of Grace Ruck. You pick a charity or organization that helps others and execute a service project for them with your team. A few idea starters:
- Donate non-perishables to a food bank
- Collect used coats/clothing for a homeless shelter
- Food drive for an animal shelter
- Volunteer at a soup kitchen
- Organize a car wash and donate the profits
- Read to residents at a nursing home
- Adopt a local highway or road and clean up trash
Add mileage where it makes sense. For food drives, it's a natural for everyone to carry the items to their destination. For other projects, you might prefer to add 2-3 miles beforehand or to a ruckoff afterwards. Have fun, put in the work, and do some good!
